InspireInk Blog Hop – Painted with Love Corner Fold Pop up Card within a Card

InspireINK Header

I am very excited to be sharing this project with you as today I am taking part in my very first ever blog hop! I’ve always wanted to take part but was nervous about it but when the lovely Sam Roberts gave us an opportunity to take part, I thought, new year, new challenge and well here we are!

I have been making quiet a few corner fold pop up cards lately. They are so much fun to make. They have a little pocket in the corner where I have made a completely different card to slide in and out. So I call it a ‘card within a card’

The theme of this project was ‘sparkle, shimmer & shine’ so immediately the lovely new suite ‘painted with love’ popped into my head. I love this suite.

The papers are gorgeous! I just had to make a corner fold pop up card with it. I used the Melon Mambo 12″x12″ cardstock that co-ordinates with this suite as the base of the card. I cut 2 of the Painted with Love Speciality Series Paper in to 6″x6″ squares and cut one of those squares diagonally to decorate the inside base, essentially making a triangular layer. I hand stamped the rest of the card and added a few die cuts using the Sure Do Love You bundle. I then cut a few 1″ strips of DSP and decorated the rest of the card.

I decorated the front with a few lovely hearts which I stamped, heat embossed and die cut, this added a bit more sparkle & shine. I layered the hearts on top of a water coloured background which I made my self using blushing bride, calypso coral & sweet sugarplum ink pads with an aqua painter and the Stampin’ spritzer. Used the cute little hearts from the Heart Happiness stamp set to add a bit more detail in the background and added some ribbon and a few silver gems.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this project as much as I have and hope that you’ll be giving it a go. There are so many lovely tutorials on YouTube on how to make this style of card as well as other many wonderful projects!

If you click on the next button you will see an amazing project by the very talented Karen Taylor who has also taken part in this blog hop.

Have a lovely day & happy hopping!
