InspireInk June Blog Hop: Milestone Birthdays

InspireINK HeaderHi everyone, welcome to our monthly blog hop! Hope you’re having a great day so far. This months theme was picked by the lovely Gez, she chose Milestone Birthdays which is perfect as there are a few of those coming up this year. I turned 30 myself at the beginning of the year so I have quiet a few friends that are also turning 30 this soon.

I have 2 cards for this months project. The first one is on it’s way in the post to a lovely friend of mine, hopefully she doesn’t guess that is her if she’s reading this :p Although the Number of Years stamp & die set has now retired from Stampin’Up, it’s still one of my favourites to use for birthdays. I decided to use Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy as the two main colours and added a splash of subtle Powder Pink ribbon. I die cut the numbers that are in the background and stuck them on the Lemon Lime Twist card to create an ’embossed’ look background. I came across a similar card on Pinterest and thought it looked rally cool.

For the second card Ii decided to change the colours a bit. I still used Night of Navy as this colour makes the card ‘pop’, I used the new in colour Grapefruit Gove. It is such a lovely colour, really like it, goes so well with Night of Navy. I also saw this card idea on Pinterest, I can spend hours on that app! I’m not sure who originally made this card but I did CASE it as I really liked it, changed the sentiments and background image. This card is for a colleague who is very excited about her upcoming birthday so really hope she likes this card as much as I do.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and if you click on the next button you will find many other lovely project from my fellow Pootlers ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a lovely day and happy hoping!
